Save your sonar transducers and brackets
Boat electronics are a must when fishing deep structure. I have a Humminbird 958DI on the bow and a 998SI on the console of my Xpress boat. Even though I am very careful to avoid damaging the transducers and mounting brackets, accidents do happen. Replacing transducers is very costly so when I learned about the Transducer Shield & Saver products, I spent the extra cash and put them on both the trolling motor and transom. The transom bracket is spring loaded so it springs up and out of the way when a limb scrapes across it. Both the trolling motor and transom brackets are aluminum and cradle the transducers very nicely, as can be seen in the photos.
I highly encourage you protect your valuable transducers with the Transducer Shield and Saver products. You will not regret spending a little more to save a bunch late in transducer and bracket replacements! Barry Dodd
